The FIA World Rallycross Championship, abbreviated as World RX, held a press conference in Central today to officially announce that the 2023 season finale will be held in Hong Kong on November 11-12.
The event will be held at the Central Harbourfront with a temporary track of approximately 1 km featuring a mix of gravel and tarmac surfaces. The vehicles used in the competition are the World RX1e race cars, which have been fully electric since last year.
The World RX is a circuit racing competition that began in 2014 and is similar in format to regular car racing. However, the tracks are made up of a mix of surfaces such as gravel, tarmac, and even jumps.
The competition has attracted many star drivers from the World Rally Championship (WRC), such as Petter Solberg, Sebastien Loeb, and the late Ken Block.
